With many wax companies giving a specific temperature for melting glide waxes onto cross country skis it makes sense to use a digital waxing iron. I have used this one by XCMAN on several oocasions since I received it 3 weeks ago and it consistently holds it temperatures within a couple of degrees C of the set temperature. I have always waxed outside which is not ideal but in our environment where winter temperatures are not that extreme this iron works well.
