D'oh! Pretty obvious, right?
If you don't have (or if you forgot) a LiPo cell checker but have your field charger with you, just power it from the battery you want to check - use extension leads if it can't reach both XT60 (in) and balance (out) ports.

This should work with most portable LiPo chargers with DC input. Check the operating voltage input range of your charger and DO NOT perform any other task, other than checking the voltage of the battery cells.

This is EASY FIX: Use any* DC LiPo charger as a simple battery cell checker - Let's go!
