You need two things to set up a cheater quad: some way of switching between the FPV cameras and some way of mixing your radio channels correctly, so that you can quickly switch cameras while flying in both directions as if you were always flying forward. This video is for the camera switching part and more specifically for a UART-compatible solution.
If your FC does not have a built-in camera switcher and there are no spare pads that can output a PWM signal, all that is left is UART control. The Bick's Multiview board was the first one I had seen that supported this.
I ordered one from a vendor that had cheap shipping to my country and what turned up was a clone that failed to work properly - and took my FC with it…
In the meantime I was told that the Vifly board can work with PinIO too, but this was not mentioned by Vifly on their website or manual. I ordered one, et voilà! It works!
As for the channel mixing setup, let me know if you would like to see a separate guide for it.
