The RapidFIRE module from ImmersionRC has been long-awaited. It (kind of) promises Clearview performance at LaForge pricing and it looks like it can actually deliver - as long as your hardware is compatible ofcourse.

It has been a long week(+) of testing, comparing, experimenting, re-flashing, tinkering and troubleshooting. The RapidFIRE module may not be a great right-out-of-the-box experience for some but slowly its quirks are becoming more transparent and better explained. The ImmersionRC team is definitely working hard on improving compatibility and their beta firmware evidently solves most of the issues I noticed in my use cases, including weird behavior in the DVR footage.

This video is just the beginning of many examples and comparisons to come, including my new VRX MODULE SHOOTOUT #2 with extensive image analysis and all the bells and whistles, as usual.
