Grants Pass TV Repair | Upgrading To A Better Diode. @GrantsPassTVRepair | Uploaded 9 years ago | Updated 2 hours ago

The TV I'm working on in this video is an Emerson LC320EM2
It's almost identical to the Magnavox / Funai model 32MF301B/F7
I'm guessing the boards are probably interchangeable. The Diode I suggest upgrading is D640 which was a 2 amp 100 volt PRV Schottky Diode. I decided to go with a 5 amp 100 PRV Schottky Diode in the hope it will last longer.
The digikey part # for the upgraded Diode was SB5100DICT-ND
This is an axial through hole Diode which I was able to make fit by drilling a couple holes and mounting it from the top of the PC Board.
I found a lot of useful information on repairing This TV at

A couple of the resistors someone listed in their parts list were different than mine such as R605 and R606 which were both 120 ohms. It always pays to check the color coding on the resistors. Hopefully the rest of their info is correct.
