HOUSTON - At around 9 p.m. on May 13, 2026, Houston police responded to a stabbing at an apartment complex near 8600 Broadway involving two victims, a 42-year-old woman who was stabbed three times in the stomach and a 69-year-old man who was stabbed twice in the stomach and once in the back. Investigators said the suspect, a 40-year-old woman reportedly experiencing some kind of mental crisis and claiming to be on seizure medication, initially chased a man with a knife near a store before making her way toward the complex, where she threatened a mother and child who escaped safely into their apartment. Surveillance video reportedly shows the woman chasing people into a convenience store, where employees locked the door and prevented her from entering. The suspect then encountered a group of four people, stabbing the married couple while two others fled. Both victims managed to return to their apartment, where family members called 911. The suspect was taken into custody.
