Mycotoxins are toxic compounds produced by certain moulds.
In clinical practice, mould exposure often shows up as severe chronic symptoms rather than acute illness. These environmental toxins can interfere with immune regulation, detox pathways, and irritate the gut and nervous system. Over time, this can contribute to food reactions, fatigue, brain fog, respiratory symptoms, MEGA histamine symptoms and stalled recovery despite otherwise “good” treatment plans.
Understanding how mycotoxins affect the body helps explain why some people don’t stabilise until mould exposure is identified and addressed as part of the bigger picture.
