Most people treating candida aren't failing because they chose the wrong antifungal. They're failing because candida isn't living as a free-floating organism, it's living inside a biofilm.
Biofilms are like little shields that microbes can hide behind. Candida secretes a polysaccharide matrix that encases the colony and acts as a physical barrier. Here antifungals can't penetrate it efficiently and neither can your immune system.
This is why someone can do multiple rounds of treatment, feel better briefly, and relapse. The biofilm wasn't disrupted. You cleared the surface population and left the infrastructure intact.
Treating candida without addressing biofilm often leads to shortlived improvements and stalled progress.
