As a preview for my upcoming course, I wanted to render out some cinematic sequences from UE4. This is done using level sequencer and a master sequence. I do have to admit that some post work was done in After Effects, but very minimal.
Everything is done with the UE4 cine camera and the easy animation tools that accompany the level sequencer. Mostly simple transforms, DOF changes, focus changes, etc.
This course will cover the workflow form 3ds Max / V-Ray to UE4 via Datasmith. We will then work on generating realistic renderings and cinematic animations from there, after we have fine tuned the lighting, materials, light bake, etc.
From there, we will optimize for desktop navigation from a FPS point of view, and then from there on to VR navigation with a headset. Finally, we will experiment with adding interaction using blueprints that are specific to arch viz.
