In this video, I setup a photo studio model in UE4 which you can download above. I then imported a nice chair model from design connected into the studio using Datasmith. Since I can't give that chair away, I made a really nice chair model just for you to download (follow the links). Once the chair was there, I set up a cinematic camera and used the level sequencer to keyframe the depth of field and the transforms on the camera. It is awesome to be able to do this in real time, btw.
I hope you like this and realize the potential of real time rendering and animation. the quality has a few issues, but the fact that it rendered in about 10 seconds is a pretty big deal. I can't wait to see what the future holds for real time rendering.
*If you want to learn more about the setup of the lighting for the studio, just download the project above and check it out. I used 3 rectangular static lights with basic settings. For the light bake I went to the world lightmass settings and turned up the quality values, set the environment to white, etc.
Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments, specifically about the future of rendering, animation, real time, etc.
Software used:
autodesk 3ds Max 2017
Unreal Engine 4.20 (UE4)
Datasmith
