My experience during and after the recent passing of the very slow moving CAT2. Typhoon Trami in Okinawa, Japan.
Fortunately no loss of life was reported.
Sustained winds were measured at 89mph and gusts were measured at 104mph. We had some minor superficial damage on our apartment and some leakage but water (rain) driven at such high speeds will pretty much seep anywhere.
The majority of the exterior shots were made using a simple GoPro Hero 5 camera with the night scenes shot on a Canon EOS5DSr from within the safety of our apartment using a longer zoom lens.
I also offer a full range of media services in Okinawa from family photoshoots to wedding videos and corporate promotional materials.

PS: We are now prepping for the next potential storm, Typhoon Kong-Rey, later this week. Okinawa at the end of the Typhoon Season gets wild, and this next one is supposed to be bigger than Trami!
