Photographer, and seawildearth contributor, Patrick Davis will never forget the day a Whale almost landed on his head! A snorkeling trip to the Kerama Islands of Okinawa, Japan, came with the added surprise of coming across a small family pod of Humpback Whales. The chance of a lifetime to be in the water with these gentle giants soon turned into an adrenalin filled near miss when a massive Whale breached literally feet in front of Patrick and his partner Baylee Nicole.
Check out this amazing encounter as it unfolded. Something no doubt that will be a lifelong memory for Patrick, the day a Breaching Whale almost landed on his head!
