Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) Major Crimes detectives arrested cohorts Joseph Anthony Crenshaw (DOB: 04/18/1984) and Dennis Wayne Waters (DOB: 12/05/1985) after they robbed the Lucky Panda Internet Café in the early morning hours of Monday, June 4, 2018. Both suspects were quickly tracked down by deputies and arrested for the crime.
On Monday morning, Waters, who was an off-duty security guard for the Lucky Panda Internet Café, let Crenshaw, who was wearing a wolf mask and was armed with a handgun, into the business to commit the robbery. Crenshaw then approached the establishment’s employees and robbed them of cash at gunpoint. After the robbery, Crenshaw and Waters fled from the business and discarded some of their clothing behind the internet café. During the investigation, deputies located Crenshaw and Waters as passengers in a vehicle traveling near the area of Sunset Harbor Road. Upon a search of the vehicle, deputies found the suspect’s hand gun, the stolen cash and several items of clothing worn by the suspects as seen in the café’s surveillance video.
Crenshaw is a two-time convicted felon, with the most recent charge on April 4, 2013 for Grand Theft in Putnam County. Crenshaw and Waters have been charged with Robbery with a Firearm, with Crenshaw facing an additional charge of Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon. Both are currently being held in the Marion County Jail: Waters’ bond is $50,000 and Crenshaw’s is $60,000.
