Artisan Makes | Turning Scrap Aluminium Into a Lathe Handwheel | Metal Casting @artisanmakes | Uploaded 2 years ago | Updated 14 minutes ago
G'day everyone,

In this video I will be recycling a bunch of scrap Aluminium off cuts that have been laying in the scrap bin for the past few years. After most projects there will be a bunch of off cuts that are too big to simply throw away, but are either too small or have holes in them which makes then unsuitable to be used as raw stock.

Since I have the new forge/foundry I will now be able to melt down the scrap and make parts from the castings. in this video I will be casting a new aluminium handwheel for the mini lathe cross slide.
