Police are urging a man suspected of sparking a disturbance during the National Day celebrations at Dataran Putrajaya to surrender.

Four reports have been lodged after viral footage showed a man in an orange or brown shirt barging through crowds near the seating gates at 5am, causing a scuffle that left several people falling.

The incident unfolded during the 69th National Day celebration, with video clips showing the suspect attempting to jump a perimeter fence to enter the seating area.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward as investigations continue into the disruption.
