Here's what happens in the PS1 version of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone if you try to visit the places in Diagon Alley that are closed which are the Apothecary, Flourish & Blotts, Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions, Potage's Cauldron Shop and an unidentified shop where Harry will read the notice sign on the door.
I finally beat this game and 100% it! TheEnglishman has a good point why both this and the PC version are a lot better than the 2003 release of it on NGC, PS2 & Xbox. It was the right thing for me to beat that game before getting back into the PS1 version of Chamber of Secrets. You should play it one day!
The storybook cutscenes in both this version and the PC version feel like watching either English dub of the model era of Thomas & Friends because of the narrator voicing every character, but for the storybook cutscenes in the PS1 version of Chamber of Secrets, they feel like watching the Japanese dub of Thomas & Friends because the narrator's voice is only heard when the narrator is speaking while separate voice actors for the characters are used which sounds a lot better and it feels like a scripted TV show.
I will admit, prior to the release of the video game Deathly Hallows - Part 1, the 2003 release of the Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone video game on GameCube, PS2 & Xbox was the worst Harry Potter video game because of it being a re-skin of Chamber of Secrets and being inferior to it and being so bad in all kinds of ways that the PS1 & PC versions are a lot better to play.
The 2003 release of the Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone on NGC, PS2 & Xbox is super expensive, usually costing between $100 & $130 or even more, but it’s no big deal and it doesn’t matter because you wouldn't want to play it at all because it’s a reskin of Chamber of Secrets, but with less polish and atrocious gameplay as it looks bad, it plays even worse and is somehow inferior to Chamber of Secrets despite coming out one year later and it’s garbage so it deserves good riddance so if you have a copy of Sorcerer's Stone on NGC, PS2 or Xbox, you shouldn’t sell it and instead, you should destroy a copy of it in anyway such as breaking it apart with a sledgehammer or cremating it with a fire of any kind. You should play the PS1 & PC versions of Sorcerer’s Stone instead because although they have their own flaws, they do a much better job at capturing the magic of Hogwarts and you’d want to keep coming back to them over and over again because you’d have a lot of fun with them! I highly recommend the PS1 & PC versions of Sorcerer's Stone! Make sure you NEVER play the GameCube & PS2 & Xbox versions of Sorcerer's Stone whatsoever and if you see them in a store, you should ignore it.
For the 2003 release of the Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone video game, the cover art is so bad where it shows Harry smiling with his mouth closed and looking straight at you with a book, holding his wand in his right hand, Hedwig is on his left behind him and behind him are the Hogwarts Express and the Hogwarts Castle at night. They should've re-used the cover art that was used for the PS1, PC, Game Boy Advance & Game Boy Color versions in 2001 which shows Harry flying on his Nimbus 2000 while diagonally right, smiling with his mouth open and catching the Golden Snitch with his left hand with Hogwarts Castle behind him since that looks a lot better.

If you watch TheEnglishman's review of the GameCube version of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, you'll know that the unique entry he reviewed was the GameCube version with the PS2 & Xbox versions are ports while in contrast, the PC, PS1, Game Boy Advance & Game Boy Color versions are each unique entries. The only videos I ever watch that are related to the 2003 release of this game are TheEnglishman's review of it and his B Roll footage of the game which are of the cutscene when they arrive at Hogwarts, the Lumos Spell Challenge, exploring the Hogwarts Grounds with the Nimbus 2000 and playing Quidditch for the only time which is so lame as well as NitsuaGamer's videos of it, only because so I can see more how bad it is, most notably the blatantly unfinished parts, the nasty bugs, the very noticeable framerate issues, clunky spellcasting, the bad lock-on system, the puzzles ranging from too easy to unintentionally difficult because of bad design, the terribly designed stealth segments, improper lighting, bad sound mixing and low quality textures which makes the game look substandard even for a GameCube launch title, let alone a game from 2003 which TheEnglishman pointed out in his own review of the game on GameCube where he called it "garbage" and "magically atrocious". I've found other problems with the game too like the game crashes, bad voice acting and where you respawn after loading a game.
