The Charlotte Hornets vs Memphis Grizzlies home-and-home in NBA 2K2 on the PS2. 2001-02 was the only NBA season prior to 2014-15 to have both the Memphis Grizzlies & the Charlotte Hornets because 2001 was when the Vancouver Grizzlies moved to Memphis and in 2002, the Charlotte Hornets suspended operations as the personnel moved to New Orleans to become the New Orleans Hornets, in 2004, the Charlotte Hornets resumed as the Charlotte Bobcats and then in 2013, the New Orleans Hornets changed their name to the Pelicans which allowed the Charlotte Bobcats to change their name back to the Hornets in 2014. Thus the 2001-02 NBA season was the only time that the Charlotte Hornets played at the Memphis Pyramid and 2001-02 & 2004-05 was when the Memphis Grizzlies played at Charlotte Coliseum. The Arkansas Razorbacks played men's basketball at both venues in college basketball in 1993-94 while winning the national championship in college basketball with the Final Four taking place at Charlotte Coliseum, they opposed both the Memphis State Tigers & Ole Miss Rebels at Memphis Pyramid and they played there again for two SEC Tournament games against the Georgia Bulldogs & Kentucky Wildcats, winning the former, but losing the latter. Both markets were home to an ABA team where Memphis had an ABA team called the Pros (1970-72), Tams (1972-74 & Sounds (1974-75) while the Carolina Cougars played some of their home games in Charlotte from 1969-1974.
