In this video I try to look at the influence of a variable capacitor to get better understanding of the electrostatic generator with rotating variable capacitor.
Although it's not a rotation movement, I can simulate the variable capacitance, I have to start somewhere :)

In a video with Eric Dollard he said that voltage would rise due to the change in capacity and it could therefor become self sustaining.
In the manner shown in video I don't see the voltage goes higher then the input voltage but I can see the much sharper edges on voltage until certain percentage of the maximum input voltage level, not higher.

At the moment I think this can only happen above much higher input voltage of minimum 7KV (this was the level where I saw I could keep the electric field more stable around plates, so I hope that it is also the level where we can see avalanche effects and get some real gain)

My scope is not Earth grounded I use a 1:1 transformer so only small influence as extra plate.
