This video shows the relation between signal to gate, voltage to negative battery, current from power supply & current to negative batterie.
This video measurements are done at 12,24,36,48,60V with 0.8A at those voltages and the negative batterie = 4 x 7Ah.
This result was reported to me by Dylans Voice, so thank you for that. It was the great difference in output that made me decide to try this with a power supply. Allthough Rick Friedrich has always said that higher voltage is better, I didn't dare to test it because of the higher currents that are drawn at startup of the motor. But now with a power supply capable of delivering the power and controlling it and the good result by Dylans Voice made me decide to try it out. Lucky enough I made that decision.
To people who say the motor is not what is told, it has proven to me (once again) that you must take effort to understand it. Let us not talk about power in the negative, just on the fact that in daily lives the spike is killed by the diode in parallel, while so much energy can be recuparated of what we put in and enjoy the extra time it takes to get the unbalance in the environment that we created, with our input pulse, to come back in balance.
I have a feeling that something is flowing in the circuit because the diode that is in the negative path, stops the possibility to let current flow from the negative batterie to the coil. But as you can see on the scope images, the moment the current to the negative batterie goes to zero we get an uprise of batterie voltage. I'm no specialist, so if you know that this is a common batterie phenomenon, please let me know.
