!!! Only experiment with high voltage if you know how to handle !!!
Experiment at your own risk

Scope images current: photos.app.goo.gl/6gEgKJdHKYn6zq2a6
Approximately 4mA is drawn from Earth ground.
To exclude as much as possible motor influence I measured at 2 different distances, 1m and 6m.
Scope was used with isolation transformer and nothing else from probes connected then the Tekbox RF current probe.
You can see signal difference in the ringing.
I have no idea to the cause of that.
The RF current probe can only measure AC.
I can not check this low values with my AC-DC clamp because it has to be higher then 5mA to be able and measure and it also can only go to 500Khz (Pintek PA-655) while the TBCP1-200 can go to 200Mhz
My CP-07+ AC/DC current probe can not fit around Earth grounding wire, the measurement opening is to small for the thick cable I use.
Without Earth grounding it also works, but it looks like the Earth ground adds a little more to the charging process.
The higher the voltage, the faster the capacitor charges.
The cold wire is just running through the metglas core, no loop is made.
It also works with the ring core with red and black speaker wire around it.
The metglas core is more efficient.
