On June 1, 2025 we took a great boat tour that is a collaboration between the Campbell River Museum (CRM) and award winning Campbell River Whale Watching and Adventure Tours (CRWW). Usually CRWW takes people out to see whales and even grizzly bears in the fall but they also do historical tours with the CRM. The CRM tours are wide ranging and visit a variety of places in the Discovery Islands that normally are only accessible by boat. Our tour featured a visit to historic Refuge Cover and scenic Desolation Sound and our tour guide Sandra provided lots of fascinating info about the area's history.
