In this video I test the Toyota FSG325 on my old pair of Levi's 505 Jeans. These jeans are thicker and more dense than any of the current Levi's jeans in retail stores. That is why I use them for all of my test for the power of the machines.
I found that the machine I have will not load Singer or Schmetz size 18 denim needles. However, the size 18 Organ Denim needles that came with the machine fit fine, so that is the needle I used.
For the leather test I used a Schmetz Leather Needle. The leather is 2 oz. in weight.
UPDATE: I commented I couldn't get a Schmetz or Singer size 18 needle to fit the machine. My dealer, lotathings.com, noticed this and mailed me a new needle clamp. It seems a few machines were manufactured with the smaller needle clamp than is designed to go on this machine. In fact this machine is designed to hold up to a size 20 needle. Very impressive for such a low cost machine.
