In this video I show how to true up the pattern IF you made the mistake I did on the cutting portion video. Amazingly, after making many of these bags I somehow make this mistake when recording the video.
If you cut your fabric on the fold line you shouldn't need to true it up. Sometimes if your seam is a bit off when sewing in your zipper you may need to true up the cut-out area so your back is nice and square. I guess in the end my mistake allowed me to demo how to true up any bag that isn't lined up after sewing in the zipper.
After sewing this pattern I've updated it to version 1.1. The zipper seam allowance has been reduced from 5/8" to 1/2" to help with the box alignment the zipper to the edge of the fabric. This will help keep things simpler - just align the edge of the zipper tape up to the edge of the fabric and you should be all lined up in the end.
