Clear Investment Group, which owns and manages the former named Skyline Apartments at 753 James St., gave CNY Central a tour of the newly named Metropolitan property Tuesday, showing renovated apartments, it said are ready to rent.
However, management acknowledged that tenants cannot legally move into the units until the city issues the required certificate of occupancy.
The city confirmed to CNY Central that, to date, no certificates of occupancy — either temporary or permanent — have been issued for any units in the building. The city also said it is awaiting information from Clear Investment Group regarding certain outstanding life-and-safety matters.
