Storms and rain take over the Great New York State Fair on Sept. 2, 2026.

The Great New York State Fairgrounds are temporarily closed due to flooding. The fair sent out the alert around 11:36 a.m. on Wednesday as storms causing heavy rain moved through the area.

The fair said all of its gates are now exit-only. People are told not to enter the fairgrounds. ETA for when it will open was not provided.
