Usually Touhou waits until Stage 4 for the difficulty spike, this time however it'll happen in this stage. It's not like it suddenly gets extremely difficult, but rather you really need to start paying attention now. The enemies producing โrippleโ like bullet waves can trap you with the rest of the bullets, plus there's also the blue yin-yang orbs that'll fire bullets really close to the bottom you need to be wary of.
Hikariko by comparison isn't too bad, though you do have to watch out for some choice attacks. Most deadly is the fact that like those aforementioned blue yin-yang orbs, she too has a few attacks that end up going off fairly close to the ground. Keep them in mind and be ready to dodge accordingly without forgetting they're gonna be there.
