A “torpedo kick” in swimming – when your body is long and thin, much like a torpedo – is the position that Coach Paul Newsome, Founder of Swim Smooth, recommends. The Endless Pools Fastlane current gives swimmers a chance to ‘mold yourself’ to the water.

In addition to body position, this swim drill also helps swimmers to develop better flexibility in the water.

Coach Paul recommends fins for swimming drills as they encourage a better leg-kick (from the hip, not the knees) while permitting him to focus on his upper body.

Note: beginning around the 3:21 mark, the water distorts the size of the Fastlane unit in relation to the swimmer. The Fastlane unit measures just 34" tall, 18" deep, and 29" wide.
