In this video we take a ride on the Toronto Transit Commissions route 133 Neilson, which runs north east & south west between TTC’s Scarborough Centre Station and Finch at Morningside. This route runs 7 days a week almost all day and utilizes 40 foot buses operated by TTC’s Malvern Garage.
1291 is a 2008 Orion VII HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle and is part of a 224 unit order (1200-1423) These were TTC’s first Orion’s Purchased with the “Next Gen” body design and the second fleet of Diesel Electric Hybrids. These units use a Cummins 6.7L EPA2007 280HP Turbocharged Diesel engine (ISB), and a BAE Electirc Hybridrive. These units have American Seating Model 6468 seats, and driver controlled heating and cooling.
