In this video we take a ride on Mississauga Miway’s route 28 Confederation, which runs north and south on Confederation between City Centre Transit Terminal and Queensway (Trillium Hospital). Route 28 runs 7 days a week almost 24 hours a day, and is based out of Miway’s Central Parkway Garage. This route also uses standard 40 foot transit buses.
0537 is a 2005 New Flyer D40LF and is part of a 72 unit order. These were the second and final fleet of D40LF’s purchased by Mississauga Transit, and are currently beginning the process of retirement. These units are powered with a Cummins 8.3L EPA04 Diesel Turbocharged engine (ISL EPA04) and a 4 speed automatic Voith DIWA-864.3E transmission. These units have American Seating Model 6468 seats, and driver controlled heating and cooling.
