In this video we take a ride on Mississauga Miway’s route 8 Cawthra, which runs north and south between Miway’s City Centre Transit Terminal & Port Credit Go Station. Route 8 runs 6 days a week almost 24 hours a day, and is based out of Miway’s Central Parkway Garage. This route uses 40 foot transit buses, but tends to get Articulated buses here and there for school runs.
0326 is a 2003 New Flyer D40LF and is part of a 44 unit order. These were the first fleet of D40LF’s purchased by Mississauga Transit, and are currently in the process of retirement. These units are powered with a Cummins 8.3L EPA01 Diesel Turbocharged engine (ISL) and a 4 speed automatic Voith DIWA-864.3E transmission. These units have American Seating Model 6468 seats, and driver controlled heating and cooling.
