In this video we take a ride on Hamilton Street Railway’s route 22 Upper Ottawa, which runs south west and north east between Frank A. Cooke Terminal (Downtown) & Upper Ottawa at Rymal. Route 22 runs 7 days a week, almost 24 hours a day. The route uses 40 foot transit buses.
0711 is a 2006 New Flyer D40LF and is part of a 22 unit order (0701-0722) These units are powered by a Cummins 8.3L 280HP 6 Cylinder Turbocharged EPA2004 Diesel Engine (ISL) and a ZF 6HP 592C 6 Speed Automatic transmission. These units ride on MAN Drive Axles, and have driver controlled heating and cooling for both driver and passengers. These buses also feature American Seating Innovator 850 seats for the passengers.
