Tormach's MX machine lineup offers a lot of free advantages that other machine tool builders traditionally do not offer as a standard.

One of the biggest advantages is PathPilot. Since day one, all the basic and premium features of PathPilot have come standard with the installation. In addition, all the updates have the same price - free. There are no surprises after your purchase. Let's list the PathPilot extras you get on the MX machines: high speed machining, more than 80 gigabytes of hard drive space, rigid tapping, 500 work offsets with custom descriptions, video integration in the G-code, and updated probing operations.

For the hardware, the MX machines come standard with a BT30 spindle, servo motors, 10,000 RPM spindle and pull stud/drive dog for positive tool engagement. The addition of servos on the MX machines increase the speed in X & Y to 300 IPM. In the Z axis, the 770MX increases to 250 IPM and 230 IPM in the 1100MX. The servos also allow for a hard stop in indexing (for repeatable homing), and fault detection. You'll also appreciate how quiet the servos are in the workshop.

The new VFD allows for on the fly mode switching. This is great for RapidTurn and high speed spindle owners as they'll no longer have to reprogram.

We've had lots of comments on how beautiful the new MX enclosures are. The color scheme has been a hit.
