The Lost Legion Rising is the fifth studio album by the German power metal band Torian, released on May 8, 2026 by Massacre Records. With approximately 55 minutes of runtime, the album marks the return of the Paderborn band after the album God of Storms (2018), presenting a reinvigorated, more focused, modern, and aggressive sound.
The title The Lost Legion Rising evokes epic imagery of a lost legion rising again—a theme of resistance, redemption, struggle against oppressive forces, and overcoming adversity. The lyrics explore elements such as emotional parasites, rebellion against corrupt rulers, war, determination, and catharsis. The tone is combative and empowering, typical of power metal, but with more direct and contemporary touches.
