Audio Animatronics are a staple at the Disney theme parks, with the very first animatronics introduced in 1963 in the Tiki Room at Disneyland. Today, the Disney animatronic family has grown with more realistic humanoid robots in many Disney rides, but a select few deserve the spotlight. From A1 figures to A100s like Buzz Lightyear, Rocket Raccoon, Ursula & the Mr. Potato Head animatronic, and now the A1000 figures of today like Hondo Onaka & Kylo Ren in Star Wars Galaxy's Edge, animatronic technology has made leaps and bounds. The Disney animatronic family is growing! With more precision and life-like movements, we’re faced with some very impressive robotic figures including some animatronic robots that are capable of performing high-flying stunts in the Disney theme parks. Its Tough to be A Bug will be closing permanently on March 17th to make way for a brand new Zootopia show called Zootopia Better Zoogether. The new show is set to open in Winter 2025.
