Today Tom Nook finally did it, the infamous question in Animal Crossing City Folk! “Should I downgrade Nookington’s in a sneaky, unclear way?” It was my mom and I’s first time seeing how it goes.
I already knew it was coming, so was way ahead and warned my mom to watch for it last month. I don’t want to lose Timmy and Tommy, and the fancy Nookington’s store we worked hard for! I wouldn’t think Tom Nook would be willing to either, especially at the input of a mere human resident (who isn’t even mayor in City Folk). It’s like the grass going away wherever you go, was no one thinking about the consequences? Guess not!
It would’ve been cool and made sense, to everyone including Tom Nook, if our answer just adjusts how Nookington’s works! Not downgrade the entire building! Imagine if I didn’t know the catch, and trusting nothing upsetting could happen? I would’ve wanted “Good hours” since we tend to play until 10 PM, even if it reduced the goods in Nookington’s, what I would’ve expected. I always look forward to visiting Nookington’s and Timmy and Tommy, so it would’ve been devastating losing that!
Aw, Tom Nook was really sweet at the end though, wanting the best for everyone in town! But seriously Tom Nook, don’t doubt yourself, Nookington’s IS your very best and you worked hard for it despite everything!! Be proud of your accomplishment!
