I did “nothing” to see if I could win anyway. Well, as much of nothing as I could. Of course I still take my turn and get stars, certain board events needing action (I keep my inputs to a minimum), and as a bonus the boss. But nothing else!
Why I am playing as Toad instead of Yoshi or Luigi? Cause I never unlocked his character figure! So might as well.
Was worried I wasn't getting out of this one, with how crazy the CPUs could get ahead and win no matter what. It's crazy how many times I got my chances messed up by the rope bridges or barrels. Especially the barrels. So many barrels. Was so many really necessary?? You can see the extent of that in the full video. Seems on the winning attempt I got lucky with poor Yoshi landing on that Bowser space… Don’t even get me started on how close I was to losing to Waluigi AGAIN. And that HIDDEN BLOCK—
Was so happy the moment I knew I won, when Peach landed on a hex instead of a duel space! THAT DUMB HIDDEN BLOCK had me for a second though— If that had been a star… Literally had my breath held for a moment when it appeared. Game was definitely messing with me…
I was also really excited since I haven’t seen Kamek’s Library in quite a while despite it being one of my favorite boards (my other favorite is Bowser’s Pinball Machine)! I love books and libraries, so a magic one, despite belonging to the infamous Kamek, is super cool! And the board itself is pretty entertaining. So I’m super happy to have reached it!
For a moment I wasn't sure how well I remembered Dry Bones' fight since it's been years, then realized it was the easiest boss in the entire thing. I certainly remember Kamek— and Bowser— being the toughest, so we’ll have to see how that goes.
