I remember being in awe of Inception when it was first released, and I keep going back to it as a source of inspiration in many ways. The pacing of the story and atmosphere of Hans Zimmerโs score are relentless, and Christopher Nolanโs signature theme of the struggle to gain normalcy and intimacy in life is pervasive and compelling.
"Time" provides the musical backdrop for the filmโs cathartic and ambiguous ending, and I wanted to recreate that feeling in an organic and bittersweet way. All sounds were made my a cello (and the clock in my bedroom haha). Thanks for listening!
