Some of my favourite pieces of classical music are contained in "The Nutcracker" ballet. Tchaikovsky's imaginative themes in this ballet powerfully convey the frigidity of Winter and the heartwarming joy of the season, intense confrontation and festive celebration. I've listened to this music a lot over the last year, and I wanted to put together an arrangement of my favourite pieces from this ballet while remaining true to the story at its core.
