One of the most unexpected surprises of my music career is the amount of wedding inquiries I've gotten related to my Kanye West Medley. Last fall, I got a request from Geoff in Maine who wanted to surprise his fiancรฉ, Mackenzie, with a special version of "Only One" for their wedding this summer. As things started opening up it seemed like it might be possible to travel and perform it in person, but we ultimately decided it would be safer to stick to the recording. And then Mackenzie ended up reaching out to request a song for the wedding without knowing Geoff already had! I thought that was so sweet, and I'm honoured that I got to be a part of their special day this summer. Congratulations Geoff + Mackenzie, wishing you all the best!
I was honoured to record this together with Shawn, my dear friend and trusted partner for wedding performances who just had his own wedding this summer! Always a privilege to make music together, hopefully lots more to come!
