I know I proclaimed that this would be The Year Of Sonic, but as I was rewatching the Chucky/Child's Play series as part of a marathon, and I saw an opening here for Valentine's Day, I figured I could squeeze one bonus tribute in, despite how rushed it is in a few places. I'd say that I'm glad with the final product.
So anyways, it's been a good while since I did my Chucky tribute from 2022, I figured I give the tribute treatment to his on and off again lover. Who above all is his soulmate. Here's to the Bride of Chucky, herself, Tiffany Ray/Valentine. I've known Tiffany for as long as I've also known Chucky, himself. To me these two are just inseparable. Tiffany herself represents a lot of what makes the franchise work and appealing for bigger audiences. While not every moment with her is shining joy, we can see that she's got a simultaneous better and weaker grasp of her murderous tendencies than Chucky himself. And of course, it goes without saying, she's one of my favorite female horror villains. She's also one of those characters who's history, relationship with Chucky, and background is a wacky rollercoaster that's just fabulously macabre. Stitched together like she did for Chucky in the opening of Bride.
And Happy Valentine's Day!!!! Treat your S/O right. If they cook, you might as well do the dishes.
Tiffany Ray/Valentine is- A character played by Jennifer Tilly, then voiced by Jennifer Tilly, then a character voiced by Jennifer Tilly looking to possess a character played by Jennifer Tilly based on the real Jennifer Tilly, switches bodies with the character of actress Jennifer Tilly, then simultaneously goes by aliases of Tiffany Valentine and Jennifer Tilly, has an extra Tiffany doll that she's possessed, poses as the real Jennifer Tilly to everyone around her, keeps the real Jennifer Tilly in the doll body as a prisoner, who then dies, then goes on the run and is currently arrested under the name Jennifer Tilly despite her pleas that she is in fact Tiffany Valentine, who is a character that Tiffany in Jennifer Tilly's body played by Jennifer Tilly has played under the name Jennifer Tilly. Wow, all of a sudden I can sort of understand why setting Seed of Chucky in Hollywood was a step in the wrong direction. Nothing but love for my man, Don Mancini.
