“Say hi to Mommy…. in hell.”
Happy Friday the 13th, everybody!!!! This would mark the third time that I make a tribute dedicated to my favorite raging maniac in a hockey mask, Jason Voorhees and shared it for all of you to see. However, I do think that a behind the scenes backstory for this video is warranted, seeing as I was able to conclude this one with what are basically just finishing touches rather than have to start from the ground up with it. This video was originally something I crafted as a video for a college project in 2020, and it was March, so I saw an idea to make something Friday the 13th-related and I really dug the song featured in this video, regardless of how accurately it fits Jason Voorhees and his inner thoughts. More to the point, I made as much of the assignment as I could and did it in the style of a traditional tribute, like the ones I did back in my early days, more or less without much curving to the song’s lyrics and stuff like that. I recall getting a good grade on the assignment and looking back, I knew for sure that even if I didn’t end up posting and sharing this video for the Friday the 13th of March 2020, I was going to find myself a time slot to share this with you all. Although, a funny thing that I should mention is that my original assignment version of the video was much shorter and went up until around the 2:29-2:30 mark. It wasn’t until around last year when I decided to make a Jason tribute set for May that I went back and fixed up on this and matched the length of the video to the length of the song. Hope you enjoy, and be sure to not act reckless like drink a beer, smoke pot or have premarital sex. Unless you’re looking to get a visit from someone in a hockey mask, with a Ph.D in Murder.
