"How is that? Perfect, like me?"
After a month of being busy and squeezing out one of my well-known Horror Tributes, PoolStroke's channel is pleased to welcoming our next addition to The Year Of Sonic, a master jewel thief that you my viewers looked to see. Rouge the Bat. Dunno how much of an unpopular opinion it is, but for a while I saw Rouge as a little overrated. In recent years, I've certainly regrown a fondness for her character and especially while making this video did I re-fall in love with her. I could never dislike her with most Sonic characters, but it's a special case with Rouge as just like my all-time favorite character of the Sonic series(and fictional media in general), she made her debut in my first ever Sonic game, Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. Rouge is a fascinating character as she'll traditionally be on the side of good, while also playing the side of evil to get her way in the end. She's arguably the most neutral when it comes to anyone in the main cast. Happy to have her among the characters that I like from this series that I love.
Highlights of her character includes her chemistry with Agent Topaz, accompanying sax music(both of which exclusive to Sonic X), love/hate banter with Knuckles, brother/sister bond and friendship with Shadow, and her status as founding Captain of Team Dark.
