"The Boogeyman's gonna get you."
Well here is Part 2 of my Spooky Season Tributes. I know it's a letdown to have only two whereas this channel's become something of a haven for horror movie tributes, but alas, my passions lie elsewhere, but I'm always happy to return. The subject of this video is the unexpected protagonist/antagonist of the latest Halloween film, Corey Cunningham of Halloween Ends. The alleged successor to Michael Myers.
My thoughts on him as a character pretty much boil down to it was an interesting concept to do a villain whose been passed the Evil of Michael Myers, but they not only did that when it seemed like they dialed back from that in the days of the Thorn Trilogy, but they chose the worst time to do it. The end of the Halloween Trilogy. I will say that Rohan Campbell puts in a good performance as the tortured outcast. If he were a character for the whole trilogy, I bet it would've been awesome to see Corey's evolution. Alas, the filmmakers mishandled things like they typically do in these movies. And yes, the scene where he beats the crap out of Old Man Michael Myers was embarrassing to put in what is supposedly the end to this franchise.
