Last weekend at The GOOD Games here in Calgary, I had the chance to attempt my 14th Guinness World Records title - Longest Throw Into a Basketball Net.
I didn’t make it during the official attempt.
But something interesting happened in the warm-ups.
This video is from earlier in the day, just getting loose, dialing in angles, timing, and release. No pressure. No crowd expectation. Just throw after throw trying to find the right line.
When I first connected with Helen back in the fall, she really saw the vision for this record — and I saw the vision for what The GOOD Games could become. It felt like two people trying to create something bigger than just an event or a moment.
Being part of that weekend, meeting so many passionate people (including two freestyle soccer world champions), and getting the chance to test this in front of a live crowd lit a serious fire under me.
Over the next couple of months, I’ll be continuing to train for this record attempt.
This was just the warm-up.
