This Rail Trolley Is Old Fashioned Fun On Wheels At French Lick Indiana!
We have been to the French Lick Springs and West Baden Springs Hotels a few times, and have done a lot of the activities they have to offer. But one thing we hadn't done was ride their historic rail trolley, and when we heard that it would be running while we were there, we knew we had to do it! The trolley is free to ride, and travels between the two hotels on a track that's just a little over a mile long. We got on the trolley at the French Lick Springs Hotel station, which is located by the on-property casino. It's a restored trolley car that was originally manufactured in Lisbon, Portugal, in 1930, and has been in use at the resorts since 2014. The ride over is very scenic in some areas, as there are forested areas it travels through. We were even lucky enough to spot a deer bedding down along the way in the woods. We rode it to West Baden, took a carriage ride while we were there, and then rode it back to where we started. It was a fun and interesting ride, and a great way to go back and forth between the hotels. If it's running while you're in the area (it does break down frequently), try it for yourself!
