🐢 Who remembers Filburt? ❤️
It's hard to believe it's been a whole year since Filburt, a sweet Painted Wood Turtle, arrived here needing urgent help. He had a deep fracture to his skull, probably caused after being hit by a vehicle, which sadly happens too often in Costa Rica due to urban development. 😔
Our vet team carefully put his shell back together using these special little clamps to hold everything in place. It was delicate work, but Filburt was such a champ through it all!
And look at him now, a year later, healthy, happy, and strong. At the end of the video, we show you just how great he's doing today!
