Today I take on Mr D'z Route 66 Diner's "Monster Burger" Challenge with their legendary shakes!
In the final episode in this Arizona series, Im in Kingman along side the historic route 66 highway. This cool 1950s-style diner once use to be a 1930's gas station, but today it’s decked out in pastel booths, checkered floors, jukebox tunes, and classic memorabilia, giving visitors a full retro-diner experience. The menu is full of classic American comfort food with burgers, insane shakes, home made root-beer floats, and so much more, but what really brings the hype is their "Monster Burger" challenge!
The "Monster Burger" Challenge features a giant burger with a two-pound patty, lettuce, onions, and tomatoes on a large, soft bun. It's topped off with a giant pickle that’s nearly the size of the burger itself. It also comes with a hefty serving of fries on the side. The shake isn’t part of the challenge, but it looked way too good to pass up. This is a pay-to-play challenge with a $25 entry fee, and if I can finish everything within 30 minutes, I’ll earn a t-shirt and a spot on their Wall of Fame.”
