Update- many of you in the comments made some good suggestions so I went ahead and ordered a replacement to have another run at it under more favourable conditions. If you have further ideas for testing, please leave a comment below.

In this video, I test this high-power Amazon-purchased buck converter to see if it can serve in my 3-D printing farm. Spoiler alert, I blew it up; switch transistor shorted within five minutes of being connected!
