These are the 'Dragon’s Teeth' in Thorneycroft Wood, Surrey. 🐉

‘Dragon’s Teeth’ were anti-tank obstacles designed to stop German troops. These were built between 1941 and 1942 and are among the best-preserved examples from the Second World War.

Thorneycroft Wood guarded the eastern approach to Guildford. These ‘Dragon’s Teeth’ were built by the Royal Engineers and manned by the 4th Guildford Battalion Surrey Home Guard.

The site has recently been scheduled, protecting it for future generations.
