A new blue plaque to pottery designer Clarice Cliff has been unveiled in Stoke-on-Trent. 🔵

One of the city’s most famous daughters, Cliff was a factory girl who became one of the best-known pottery designers of the 20th century.

Known for her revolutionary Art Deco designs, Cliff made history by being the potteries’ first female art director.

The plaque has been installed at her former flat on Snow Hill, where she lived at the height of her success.
